Welcome to my Site!

A few years ago, I was in a pretty serious car accident. During the aftermath, I became really familiar with a lot of different types of lawyers. I worked with personal injury lawyers, insurance lawyers, and many others. Perhaps the most important, though, was the estate planning lawyer. I was really young, and neither my wife or I had thought about starting a will. But the accident kind of scared us into it. What would happen if one of us were to die? Even when still in the hospital, I was working with the lawyer to draw up a will. Now, I have some peace and security about what the future will be like if something should happen to me. And I have a lot of experience working with various types of lawyers! The accident was kind of a blessing in disguise in that way.

The Importance Of Being Bailed Out Of Jail

Law Blog

When someone is arrested, they will be booked in jail. At this point, all of their personal information like their full name, birth date, and address will be collected, they will be fingerprinted and photographed. Generally, within 48 hours from the time of their arrest, they will be given a hearing where their bail amount will be determined. It is going to be the best-case scenario for the person to be bailed out of jail. In order to understand the importance of being bailed, keep reading:

Not posting bail means a long time in jail

When someone isn't able to post bail, they will face a very stressful, emotional, and long road. This is due to the fact that it can take months before the person will start going to trial. Without posting bail, the person will end up staying in jail for all of those months. With bail, these could be months that they would be free. While out on bail, they may even be able to accomplish a lot of things that would be beneficial to them, their family, and even their case.

Not posting bail often means a loss of income

When a person isn't able to post bail and they end up needing to stay in jail all the way until they go to trial, they will likely lose their job. The loss of a job is bad for many reasons, but one of those reasons is because it will be harder to pay for a lawyer. If they were out on bail, then they would be able to continue working, be able to meet with lawyers to determine which one they feel the most secure with, and they would go to trial as an employed individual, which can help in some cases.

Not posting bail can take an emotional toll on someone

Not posting bail and staying in jail can be very stressful and it can even cause someone to become depressed. Not to mention, the longer that a person ends up staying in jail, the longer they will be in a dangerous environment, which can also cause even more worry and stress.

Now that you have a clearer picture of just how important it can be for a person to be bailed out when they have been arrested, you may see the urgency in bailing out one of your loved ones if you get the call from them and they are in jail. For more information, contact a bail bonds company.
